Cookies and browser storage
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Browser storage works in a similar way but stays on your device. We use both, for the reasons below.
Needed for the site to work
- Your sign-in. Keeps you signed in and remembers a request you have started. Scripts on the page cannot read it, and it ends when you sign out or close your browser.
- Your cookie answer. Your reply to our cookie notice, kept in this browser so we do not ask again.
- Offline copies. The site keeps a copy of some pages and images on your device, so it opens quickly and still shows something without a connection.
Remembering your choices
- Travel style. If you choose a travel style in the Vietnam Journal, a cookie remembers it for 180 days.
- The Elite Desk. Your recent conversations with our team are listed in this browser, so you can return to them.
- Small prompts. Whether you have seen the welcome tour, and whether you closed the offer to install the app or turn on notifications.
- Referral links. If you arrive through a creator's link, a cookie notes it for 90 days, so the creator is credited if you book. Scripts on the page cannot read it.
Analytics
No analytics are switched on at the moment, so no analytics cookies are set. If that changes, this section will name each tool.
Fonts and icons from other services
Our fonts load from Google Fonts and some icons from Cloudflare. Like any web request, this shares your IP address with them; neither sets cookies for Elite Trip.
Your choices
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies and site data. Clearing them signs you out and resets the choices above. Blocking the sign-in cookie stops you from signing in.
