Concierge Itineraries Example week
Seven days in Saigon with children
A week paced around naps, heat and small legs, with a car that is always where you need it.
Children get hot, tired and hungry on their own timetable, so this week follows theirs. Mornings do the work and afternoons stay free for the pool or a sleep. One day is left empty on purpose, and every plan has a covered alternative for the rain.
Day by day.
What each day holds, and what your Local Host looks after.
-
Day 1
Arrive and settle
- Afternoon
- Your Local Host is waiting in the arrivals hall with a car that takes the luggage, the pushchair and the whole family. Straight to your hotel to unpack and rest.
- Evening
- Dinner a short walk away, somewhere that serves quickly and has space for children.
Taken care of. The car, the child seats and where to eat on the first night.
-
Day 2
An easy first morning
- Morning
- The Central Post Office and Book Street while the air is still cool, with shade and benches for small legs.
- Afternoon
- Back at the hotel through the hottest hours.
- Evening
- An early dinner in District 1, and an ice cream on the walk back.
Taken care of. A shaded route, and an indoor alternative ready before the first shower.
-
Day 3
Animals in the morning, water after lunch
- Morning
- The Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens early in the day, while the animals and the children are at their liveliest.
- Afternoon
- A water park or the hotel pool, depending on the ages and the energy left.
- Evening
- A relaxed dinner where the children's dishes arrive first.
Taken care of. Tickets bought ahead, and the car ready the moment someone needs to leave.
-
Day 4
One day beyond the city
- All day
- The Mekong Delta by road and by boat: a small workshop making coconut sweets, lunch in the shade and a quiet drive home while the youngest sleeps.
- Or instead
- For children who dislike long drives, the Can Gio mangroves are much closer and the boat ride is shorter. Your Local Host will tell you honestly which suits your family.
Taken care of. The whole day, including the question of whether to go at all.
-
Day 5
A day with nothing planned
- Morning
- A slow breakfast and no plans.
- Afternoon
- Thao Dien, across the river, where garden cafes leave room for children to run.
- Evening
- A quiet dinner close to the hotel.
Taken care of. Protecting the one day most itineraries forget.
-
Day 6
History, gently
- Morning
- The Independence Palace, where children enjoy the long corridors, the map rooms and the tank on the lawn.
- Afternoon
- An hour at Ben Thanh Market, leaving before it gets hot and crowded.
- Evening
- A family cooking class, or an early dinner before the journey home.
Taken care of. A straight answer on the War Remnants Museum. It is distressing, many families leave it out, and your Local Host will say so plainly.
-
Day 7
The last morning
- Morning
- Whatever the children asked to do again. Usually the pool.
- Afternoon
- Checkout, bags and the drive to the airport, with the real traffic allowed for.
Taken care of. The timing, so the last hour is a calm one.
