In short. The room furnishing and air conditioning are dated, indicating some aging but overall kept well.

Very happy, will return.
+ Rooms are very generously sized compared to newer hotels at the same price. The hotel is one of the classics. Don't let its age deter you from trying. I liked the traditional service and culture.
− I recommended they update certain elements of the Gordon Grill that looked a bit weathered that would improve the overall experience. Given the quality of the food I would have expected to see...

+ Great location with old world Charm
− No modern socket in room and concierge wouldn’t provide an adapter. Need to update this for travellers as you are a 5 stars hotel.

Good choice for Singapore
+ Quality building with two swimming pools, one is big enough for exercise. Breakfast is good with plenty of choices and food is fresh. Staff are excellent, we really enjoyed our stay here
− There was a function at the hotel on the second night we stayed there. Guests were very noisy at midnight, but this was a random event.

Food and beverage great where maintenance and housekeeping need attention
+ Breakfast great , staff great
− Room was really shabby and plugs were falling out. Lifts were not synced as one was not working so a person pushed both buttons and one side would work and stop the other side as not resetting.
